All urgent care appointments are prioritized based on the severity of your pet’s condition. Patients will be seen by a veterinarian in order of priority I, II, and III patients.We know you are worried about your pet, and we will be our best to see your pet as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding our priority process.
PRIORITY #1
What conditions are considered an emergency (PRIORITY #1) and need immediate veterinary care and attention, saving measures to be applied immediately:
- Allergic reactions
- Collapse
- Hypothermia
- Heat Stroke
- Bload (GDV)
- Active seizures
- Major trauma (Vehicular trauma or animal attack)
- Penetrating bite wounds around the neck and chest
- Choking
- Unable to breathe (difficulties or labored breathing)
- Unable to urinate (especially male cats or dogs having trouble urinating)
- Excessive bleeding
- Poisoning
- Snake Bite
- Open Fracture
- Paralysis
PRIORITY #2
What conditions are considered urgent matters: PRIORITY #2 -Likely to survive if care is given within hours (WAIT TIMES MAY APPLY)
- Frequent vomiting
- Bowel obstruction
- Bloody diarrhea
- Closed fractures
- Blood in urine
- Can urinate but straining
- Birthing difficulties
- Paralysis
PRIORITY #3
PRIORITY #3 Urgent Care-Non Life-threatening (wait times may be prolonged)
- Abscess
- Stable chronic disease
- Limping
- Skin conditions
- Sneezing/nasal discharge
- Minor wounds/lacerations
- Sore eyes/Ears
